WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

PLEASE WRITE TO YOUR MP — HELP US PROTECT THE IMMUNOCOMPROMISED

We are asking all Forgotten Lives UK members, families, friends and supporters to help us raise this issue with MPs.

We have prepared an information sheet that clearly sets out why protecting immunocompromised people is not only the right thing to do, but also benefits the wider NHS, the economy and future pandemic preparedness.

For too long, immunocompromised people and their families have been left carrying an invisible burden, ongoing risk, anxiety, isolation and a lack of meaningful protection.

The Covid Inquiry has already highlighted that the needs of clinically vulnerable and immunocompromised people were not adequately considered during the pandemic. We cannot allow those same mistakes to be repeated.

We are asking MPs to support calls for:

• Proper recognition of the ongoing risks faced by immunocompromised people
• Better access to effective protection, including treatments, prophylactics and clear clinical pathways as evidence develops
• Future pandemic planning that includes immunocompromised people from the start
• Ministers to engage directly with Forgotten Lives UK and the APPG for Vulnerable Groups to Pandemic

We are also following this up through the APPG, with questions being submitted in Parliament to press the Government for answers and action.

Please send the attached information sheet to your MP and ask them to raise this with Ministers.

You can find your MP here:

A few minutes of your time could help make sure immunocompromised people are no longer forgotten, ignored or left behind.

Thank you, as always, for standing with us and continuing to make your voices heard.
